Labor Day Weekend
This past Labor Day Weekend we went to Grand Teton National Park and enjoyed the scenery. This is a picture of the Grand Tetons from the North East Side.Hanging out by Jenny Lake. Too bad we didnt get the mountains in the background.
Logan and Tracie at the Hidden Falls (not sure why they call it that because everyone and their cat was there) Another Hidden Falls picture. If you look close near the bottom left you can see people which should help you get an idea how big this sucker is.This huge moose just beside the trail eating some foilage

HALLOWEEN
Halloween was a lot of fun! We had a lot of family come and visit for Cory's homecoming. We took Vella to our family ward Trunker Treat Chilie Cook Off event. It was a lot of fun. Vella was really good and loved seeing all the people. She has been becoming a lot more social and interactive. She has been so fun to watch grow up, last night Alexis and I were looking at the pictures of her when she was just born and were amazed at how much she had grown. This evening we will post a big random group of pictures just so people can have fun looking at them.

Things are going really well! Greg started school last week and he is pretty busy. He has a lot of time consuming classes this year! He is really smart so I know he will do well. Vella is getting big! It's incredible how fast she grows. She is so cute and so sweet! She is making a lot more noise and she is starting to reach for things. It's nice because she can keep herself entertained for longer periods of time so I am able to get more things accomplished. To those of you who don't know I figured out why Vella was so fussy. She is allergic to dairy! When she was 2 weeks old she would cry almost all day and all night and hardly ever sleep and lasted until she was about 9 weeks. I prayed for her all of the time that she would not be in pain and that I would be able to figure out how to help her. One morning I felt strongly impressed that it was dairy that was bothering her. So I stopped consuming dairy products and she became much happier! A few days later I wanted to be sure it was dairy so I ate soup that had milk in it and the whole night she was screaming again. It's rather hard to truly enjoy a baby who cries all the time. She has been so much easier and fun, and I have really been able to enjoy her. It's been hard for me to not eat cheese especially and a lot of foods have milk in it so i have to be careful, but she is so happy and it is totally worth it! Also, since I stopped consuming dairy she stopped projectile vomiting.
Lately she has been fighting falling asleep because she is so interested in things. It's pretty cute. She smiles a lot more now and I love it SO much!!! She won't smile for the camera though and it kinda bums me out. Everytime I get out the camera to take a picture she gets this serious look on her face, and won't smile for anything. She does this super cute pouty face when she is tired or upset and I love it so much. Am I a bad mom for loving that? It's just so darn cute. She sticks out her bottom lip and it's awesome.

Oh, I am tired.
You know those wonderful day time escapes called naps? Well, I am really bad at them.
Meaning, I lay in bed thinking of other things I could be doing other than actually sleeping.
Sometimes, though, I am lucky and my eyes close for twenty minutes or so before Vella wakes up and wants to eat.
If you have the blessed talent to nap whenever you please, take a nap for me.
Because man, I need one.
Oh, and I found this picture and I thought it was cute. I knew I was going to marry Greg the day I met him.

I was reading what Greg had blogged on the way to Park City, and I wanted to get one thing straight... "We" did not paint the kitchen cabinets. Greg did it as a surprise when I was in Arizona! When Vella and I flew into Salt Lake Greg kept telling me about how messy the kitchen was and how he was trying to organize so everything was out of the drawers, etc. I was kinda bummed thinking about having to clean that all up. We got home and to my surprise the cabinets were painted white and the kitchen was super clean!!! Greg did an awesome job!! Our kitchen looks great and that was the best surprise.
Our trip to Park City was a lot of fun. It was so nice to see all of the family! I look forward to seeing them again for Vella's Baby Blessing.
Oh.. and my baby weight is coming off. I am so happy! I thought it would be a lot harder to lose. I guess I am just lucky. 46 lbs down 12 to go

Jay Updates
To the right we have cucumbers moving left, onions, Anaheim peppers, carrots, and corn.
Our raspberry patch we transplanted from Grandpa Thompson's garden. We have eaten about 10, yummy yummy.
Close up of some of the raspberries.
This picture is left of the first one, it is the corn, carrots and jalapeƱo peppers, romaine lettuce, more onions, and what is left of our radish patch.
Our tomatoes or further left and this is what they are looking like right now.
Here is a picture from the opposite end, you see more corn, strawberries, tomatoes then the plants from the other pictures.
Grapes are looking awesome this year especially for whacking them back so much.
Dad and I riding up the West Fork of Mink Creek
We painted our kitchen cabinets white. Looks bigger. Now we just need to paint that red above them, change our counters, and put up a tile back splash and our kitchen will be legit.
I updated all this while driving in the van headed to Park City Utah for the family vacation. Lindsay has her Droid phone which you can hook your laptop up to and get internet access. What a cool thing!! Thanks Lindsay for letting me borrow this while you napped.
