19 Week Ultrasound

I was 19 weeks pregnant when I got the anatomy scan done. Baby girl was moving so much it was hard for the tech to get a good profile picture.  At the beginning of the ultrasound she was head down and at the end she was breech. This baby is a wiggle worm!! She was measuring right on for everything except her weight which was measuring almost two weeks ahead, HA. The ultrasound technician checked the measurement twice and she measured the same both times. I guess that will be a good thing if this baby comes early. I think her lips are really cute and look like Greg's.

 

 

Maybe this is bad of me, but the next picture makes me laugh because it kind of looks like she is giving the bird! The tech was trying to get a good profile picture for me to take home. This was her last attempt because baby girl was moving so much.

 

Mattix's 1st Birthday

Ya ya...I am super mega late, I know! Me being pregnant and tired + 2 busy kiddos = slacking big time on blogging. Better late than never, right? Here are pictures from Mattix's 1st birthday (July 27th). I didn't do anything big because I suck! I was actually pretty sick. The Taylor's let us come celebrate at their place. We love them! More blogging to come.

Greg's First Day of School

Greg started school again. I am so so proud of him and what he has accomplished. V kept lifting her shirt up during the pictures. I didn't understand why and when we tried to get a picture with her shirt down she got really sad. We finally figured out why when Greg put her down and she stood in front of the cupboards. She saw Greg take my last belly picture and wanted to take a picture of her tummy too. Haha, she observes WAY more than I think! I love that girl. She is so fun!

18 Weeks Pregnant

It looks like I am totally groping myself. Well, I am. Not intentionally though! :) I started progesterone shots to prevent early labor a few weeks ago. I had contractions for a couple of days and started getting pretty crampy so I decided to call my doctor. They told me to come in and they scheduled an ultrasound  to check out my cervix. That was really fun..not! Sure enough baby girl was head down and things were changing, so they started me on the shots. It's only once a week so it's not too bad, but they make my butt sore! haha. They also told me to do light bed rest, which is pretty much impossible with a 1 and 2 year old. Luckily, Greg got his volunteer hours done and has been helping a ton! I don't know what I will do when he goes back to school next week. The progesterone shots do seem to help. Mattix is getting three molars in and has been a sad boy, so I picked him up a few times yesterday. What a mistake! I was thinking that because I was feeling better I could pick him up and be fine. I am paying for it today. I want this baby to stay in for quite a bit longer so no more of that! Mattix is a big boy by the way. He is three pounds lighter than V! I think he will outgrow her someday soon :) Greg was able to feel the baby  move a couple of days ago. I was really excited about it!!! This baby is still quite the mover. I am totally loving it!

I have to get going, but I'll update more later. V has been dragging Mattix across the room and he has finally had enough

Quick Update

I thought I would do a quick update. My computer is about done for. Well, I imagine it could be fixed with a new battery and charger, but I don't have money for that. So I will be using Greg's computer more often, and I don't like typing on the mac for some reason. So I will probably be posting a lot less. Anyways, the kids had their Dr. appointments this week. They are growing well. Mattix weighs 3 pounds less than V. I think he will pass her in weigh someday soon! He is a big boy! His head is the same size as Vella's too, haha. I think that is so funny especially because V already has a big head for her age. Big heads for big brains, right?! haha :) The dr says they look great! V still has a milk allergy, but I hope she outgrows it. We gave her yogurt soon after she turned two and she got a rash and stuff, but it wasn't like it normally is, so I am really hoping she outgrows it soon! The Dr. wants me to take Mattix to Salt Lake to get his lungs checked out. He breathes a lot faster than normal kids, and he constantly wheezes also. They think maybe he has lung issues and that's why he sometimes aspirates. The Dr. said I probably wouldn't be able to get in for a few months. I hope it isn't too far out. I don't want to drive in the snow and I will be really pregnant. They have done so many tests to see what's wrong, so I hope they are able to figure it out! Anyways, other than that the kids are doing great!
Greg is busy busy! He has been volunteering like a mad man and working when he is not volunteering. He has this weekend off and I am SO HAPPY!!!! I will really miss him when he is in school. I love him so much. He is so much fun and I can't imagine being as happy with anyone else. He is my best friend.
I am doing well. I'll be honest...I really really dislike being pregnant. I feel really tired ALL the time!! It's pretty rough. The "morning" sickness is better. I am not sick so much, but I still get sick and nauseated often. I am so glad it's better! My face is almost back to normal. Thank you Emily for the Proactive. That stuff is amazing. It dried my face out a little at first. I used it less and it is the miracle face wash. I am so grateful! I have been getting contractions every now and then since about 12 weeks. I just try and take it easy and usually I feel okay. I really don't want another early baby. Oh and this is probably TMI for some, so don't read on if you don't want to be offended. My boobs are SO sore and big. They feel like they do when milk is coming in. It is so weird. Has anyone experienced that so early? It is weird and pretty annoying. lol...Anyways, that's all I have time for. Mrah!

14 Week Gender Reveal!

It's a GIRL!

The ultrasound I got today was so cool. I wasn't sure if we would be able to tell what the baby was because she was moving so much!!! This is by far the most wiggly baby I have been pregnant with! The baby was turning all around and stretching out and waving haha. It was fun. I had a feeling I was having another girl, and I was right on! We are excited!

Gender Prediction Shenanigans

Lots of people have asked me what I think I am having. I had a dream about having a baby girl before I got pregnant with Vella and I also had a dream about having a boy before I got pregnant with Mattix. I didn't have a dream before this one, but my sister did. It was pretty funny...she called me a couple of weeks before I found out I was pregnant and told me she had a dream my daughter was just starting to talk. I was like oh that's funny, what was Vella like in your dream? She told me it wasn't Vella, but another one of my children and a few weeks later I found out I was pregnant!!

Old Wives Tales about Gender Prediction

If the heartbeat is over 140 then it’s a girl, if it’s under 140 it’s a boy.

The heartbeat has always been over 140. My last appointment it was 147 or something like that. Girl

If the baby’s dad is gaining weight with the mom, then it’s a girl.

This pregnancy I have been craving super spicy Mexican food and California Rolls. I also craved lots of sweets in the beginning which is not like me, so I am going to say Girl

If you are severely sick you are having a boy...but also if you are sick in the morning it is a boy or sick at night it is a girl.

I was pretty sick in the 1st trimester. Still get nauseated and it's usually in the evenings. Since I was so sick in the beginning I'll say Boy

Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!! Like crazy. I broke out really badly when I was pregnant with V, but not so much with Mattix. I always break out on my back when I get pregnant and I have never had zits on my back before that, so it is really annoying and weird. Yes, I have acne like mad. Luckily Emily sent me Proactive for my birthday and that is helping. Girl

If the baby is carrying low- it’s a boy, high- it’s a girl.

 It's hard to say because I am not that far along. With Mattix most of the weight I gained went to the front of my tummy. With V I gained lots of weight and mega love handles. I have been putting on weight on my sides this pregnancy. I'd say Girl

When holding a pendant over your belly if it swings back and forth it is a boy, if it is more circular than it is a girl. Circle Girl
