Mattix Jack Thompson

Mattix was born on Wednesday at 5:14 a.m. weighing 6 lbs 1 oz and was 19 inches long. He was born almost  6 weeks early and we are hoping to get him out of the NICU soon. Here are some pictures

Things have been kind of busy, so I will give everyone a quick update! Vella is a one year old! She is walking , and it is really cute. She also slept through the whole night last night! I was waiting for last night for a long time, and today I am one very happy mommy! :) Greg has been busy working, and he is going to volunteer at the hospital pharmacy soon! He almost has the sprinkler system put in, and he is really excited about that. We went to AZ for a week and a half, and it was really nice to see my family! I also was able to see my friend get married. It was really cool!! My pregnancy is annoying, but I am glad our baby is still cooking. I am still taking medicine every four hours, and supposed to be on bed rest. I only have nine and a half more weeks left, so I am happy about that! I have been measuring two weeks ahead at my last few dr's appointments, so it could be sooner!

30 weeks

I am using Greg's computer and I can't figure out how to get pictures from our camera onto our computer, so I'll have Greg help me when he is home, lol.

Well, I am taking 20 mg of Procardia every 4 hours, which is the max you can take of that medicine, and that seems to be helping a lot better! I am not afraid to walk around my house anymore which is nice, haha... Hopefully it keeps working like this until our baby is ready to come out! We are going to visit my family tomorrow, and I am SO stoked!! I am a little nervous about walking around the airport, but other than that I am super excited.

Pregnancy Update Week 27

Well this past week has been an eventful one. Last Thursday Greg was looking around for pharmacies to volunteer at. He got an interview at the hospital later that day and since I was having contractions on and off I decided to go with him so I could be checked out. They hooked me up to the monitor and after a while the Dr there did a fetal fibronectin and a few other tests because my uterus was irritated along with having quite a few irregular contractions. The FF came out negative and the other tests were normal so he decided to put me on moderate bed rest and he wanted me to see my Dr within the next five days and talk to her about being put on different medicine to help stop the contractions.
On Saturday I went to the hospital again. They hooked me up to the monitor and tried to decide whether or not to put me on different medicine without my Dr's approval. They checked my cervix and I was not dilated, so that is good! I started having contractions about every 4 minutes and they gave me a few shots to stop the contractions, put me on strict bed rest ...and pelvic rest (shoot me!) and I have to take 30 mg of procardia every 8 hours. The Procardia doesn't make me feel too sick, thank goodness! It makes me tired and I get pretty bad headaches from it, but that's the worst of it. It turns my feet and legs red after I take it and if I don't eat before I take it I feel nauseated. I feel a lot better on this medicine than I did on Terbutaline, that's for sure! It REALLY sucks not being able to do much without getting contractions. Cindy and Tracie have been taking V during the day, which is really really helpful!! I have a hard time resting like I need to. It is just so boring, and it seems like I am always thinking about what needs to get done around my house. I am glad the baby is still cooking and that's what's most important. Anyways, I'll probably blog more since all I am supposed to do is sit around on my butt all day! Hope everyone is doing well. :)

A Little Update

Doesn't V look a lot like her daddy?! I see more and more of him in her as she grows. She is growing so quickly! Next month she will be one year old. Time goes by way too fast when you have kids.

Greg is out of school for the semester and it is nice :) He is working on putting a sprinkler system in right now. He has had this planned for a while and it is cool to watch him work on it! He is a stud!

I am 25 weeks pregnant going on 35, haha. I am big and this baby likes to kick my ribs and it is so uncomfortable! I have been having a lot of contractions, which sucks. It doesn't take a lot for me to start having them either. Hello weight gain!! My doctor gave me medicine to take for them. It makes me feel like crap and it doesn't always work right away, but at least I have it. Tracie and Cindy have been helping me with Vella and it has been SOO nice to be able to rest when I need to!
