Christmas

Christmas was super awesome this year. We were able to give presents to a family in need due to some amazing circumstances. It was so fun to wrap presents and be able to give them to a mother with 7 children to make their Christmas annonmously. We truly felt the spirit of Christmas.

These are some pictures of us wrapping the presents with our family! OUr whole family wrapped presents for about an hour. It was such an awesome experience!

This is a picture of our family playing Karoke Revolution! It was a lot of fun! Greg did a great job on singing "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" By The Darkness :)

We had so much fun!

Pregnancy Update

13 Weeks 1 Day
11 Weeks
We missed the picture for the 12 weeks mark. Alexis was really sick then but thats not the reason why we missed it - just laziness I suppose. Things are going really well and we were able to hear the heart beat when we were in Arizona. It was really exciting and fun.

10 Weeks

We Forgot to take a picture at 9 weeks. Actually Alexis remembered Greg just didn't do it. Whoops. Its GROWING!!!

Visit to Grandpa Johns

This contraption is where we crushed up some rocks that Grandpa had mined. It grinded them up into powder - a red powder.

Pouring the powder into the funnel put it across this vibrating water board which seperated the gold from the rest of the debris. You can see the red sand being sifted in the picture. We didn't get any more pictures but when it was all said and done grandpa gave us some gold dust that was mined out of the rocks. We had a great time at grandpa's place checking out his granden and playing with the animals. Bert took special attention to Alexis and kept rubbing his head on her legs. Perhaps its because she is pregnant?

This crazy cow kept sticking its tounge out and was making us laugh.

PS. Greg was checking out Grandpa's grapes and grabbed the fence and was shocked. Even Grandpa laughed at that one. After we left we decided that if we had a boy we would name him after Grandpa. (Lincoln John Thompson)

Thanksgiving in Arizona

Driving around in Arizona. That shirt was a score for Greg!
This is at Uncle Johns place - group photo. We saw the temple lights at the Mesa Temple.
Alexis playing the piano for Isaac.

We had a great time in Queen Creek Arizona with family and friends. We got there Saturday evening and Mama C made us some chicken enchiladas for dinner. We stayed in a bed in an extra room at the Corbitts place. Alexis had traffic school and Greg visited the Hemstreets. Thanksgiving was amazing with the awesome food. The whole week went by way to fast and the ride home was a mess.

The road just south of Panguitch was really slick and the snow was coming down. We lost control going forty down a hill and flew off into sixty foot ditch. We we rattled a little bit with no major injuries. The car has some major rear end body work that needs to be done and the passanger front tire was torn off of the wheel but we were able to get that to reseal. We filled it up and I did some test drives and felt it was the best thing to do is drive it. Jay came and arrived right after I test drove the car and escorted us back to Nephi. He was such a stud to spend almost 7 hours driving for us. We crashed at his house and finished our journey home sunday morning. The car ran like normal but just looks bad.

This is where they pulled the car up with the tow truck. It took over 2 hours by the time this had happened but we were grateful. The highway patrol let us sit in his car while we waited. Everyone was super cool and one emt gave us his number and offered to stay at his place for the night if we needed to. Needless to say it made for an expensive trip but we are so grateful that we didn't get majorly hurt and that the car was able to drive back to Idaho. We love our purple beast and it takes good care of us (maybe we should take better care of it.)

APPLESAUCE!!

Saturday Morning we made APPLESAUCE!!! Greg picked apples in the morning while Alexis and Cindy started the whole process with Grandpa Thompson's apples. After Greg got back it was about ten in the morning and we spent the whole day cutting the apples and cooking them and making applesauce. It is really good sauce, we used mostly jonagolds and western grims with some old red delicoious and a few other varities. It made for some great sauce. Alexis went shopping but Cindy and Greg worked until 8 to make 46 jars of apple sauce in the end. We never got a picture of all the jars together.
The last one is Lindsay getting her hair done by her friend Tracy with Capone nesting on the back of the couch. That was after Alexis, Lindsay, and Tracy got back from their shopping spree.

Little Chugie is growing up. Here is a picture of her resting on a pillow and one with her resting by daddy.

The top picture is of our indoor carrots, the next two plants in the 2nd picture are tomoateos and some kind of squash plant? I don't know if any will grow in the winter but I figured we would give it a shot. We put them outside for a warm day. The bottom picture is of our basement where Greg added 5 shelfs that are 8 feet long each. It is really nice having a little space to store our stuff.

We had a yellow carrot in our garden which we thought was really odd. We thought it was poisonious but after going online and googling "yellow carrots" we found out that there are carrots that come in a few odd colors. Anyways we decided to eat it and it was yummy!!
The top picture is the rest of our tomatoes this year and the last two are of Greg making some apple crisp with the apples Grandpa Thompson gave us. He also put some plums in it and it was really AWESOME!

This is the movie of Chugar trying to get the hair band off her neck.

We got a new cat and her name is Chugar (Rhymes with Sugar). She is a lot of fun and Greg is a lot less allergic to her. She is really fluffy and really wild. We think that she was raised outside by the way she acted when we first got her but she has grown to love us and we have loved her into the family. The last picture we posted because Chugar's face looked super funny. Alexis was trying to teach the cat how to be a rastafarian with head bands listening to Bob Marley. Alexis also likes to give Chugar rides. Oh and Capone and Abruzzi live at Ma and Pa's place.

The FUTURE likes the Cats.

The top three pictures are before Abruzzi (black) and Capone (white) moved downstairs and the last two are them on their new house that I built them using some leftover carpet from Makayla's room. Capone was really jealous when we first got him and thought he was all bad and would try to attack Abruzzi but Abruzzi is really fast and bigger then Capone (still is) so Capone finally threw in the towel and they became friends after the first half of an hour. Now we hear them running around downstairs making all kinds of ruckus. It is crazy how fast they are growing. It was hard to pick which pictures to post because we have so many funny pictures of them.

We have some more yard stuff.

Well we planted another fruit tree in our back yard that is supposed to give us approximately 20 peaches next year. It is three years old and it is a P F 17 Flaming Fury Peach tree. If you look to the right you can see our Jonagold Apple tree we planted when we first moved in. Our grapes have grown out of control this summer. I wish I had a before and after picture to show how much they have taken over the back part of our deck. I also put a close up of the green grapes. They are starting to get sweet and we have been snacking on them. The last picture is our raspberries which are finally coming on. They are really good and we love to eat them but we usually sneak over to Grandma and Grandpa's place to eat from their huge patch.

Yard and Garden continued

I couldn't get all the pictures I wanted in that one post so I will create another one. You can see the dirt we poured in the front and on the side. The dirt was really low in both of these areas which would make the water pool up against the house but not anymore. We also filled a lot of sunken spots in our lawn but we didnt get any pictures of that. I also added the last picture of our decompose pile. I call it that because we just throw away all of our bio-degradable waste into that pit.
